Disco nuevo de Megadeth en septiembre

MEGADETH has set "Endgame" as the title of its twelfth studio album, tentatively due in September through Roadrunner Records. The CD was recorded at the band's brand new, self-built studio in San Marcos, California ? Vic's Garage ? which was named after the legendary and iconic Vic Rattlehead character.

"Endgame" is being helmed by MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine and acclaimed British producer Andy Sneap (EXODUS, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY, MACHINE HEAD). Sneap also manned the boards for 2007's "United Abominations". Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Headcrusher", "1,320", "How the Story Ends" and "This Day We Fight!"

According to a press release, "Endgame" "boasts the technicality, ferocity and snarl that's synonymous with MEGADETH and Mustaine. It's a violent masterwork that represents Mustaine's best work in nearly two decades. In a musical world dominated by bands that make generic, blanket statements, 'Endgame' finds Mustaine, once again, making informed and substantial lyrical declarations about the state of the world we live in."

Commented Mustaine: "Thematically, I've never been known to be a silent bystander in a world that needs our participation. As more is revealed about our former President's legacy, a little-known yet staggeringly frightening document which was signed into law, named 'Endgame', has been uncovered. The album 'Endgame' is the most energetic music offering I have penned in over a decade and is far more believable than knowing someone signed 'Endgame' ? the document ? into law. The album is also the perfect 'ass-kicking' music to listen to once you are done reading the aforementioned document!"

In short, it's the MEGADETH record that fans of classics like "So Far?So Good?So What?" and "Rust in Peace" have been chomping at the bit for.

"This new album is my proudest moment since the famous (or infamous) 'Rust in Peace' album," Mustaine added. "With this album, I am also very excited to be introducing my new lead guitarist, Chris Broderick, to the world. I have always felt lucky to have had top shredders in that position, but after touring with Chris in support of my last album, I couldn't wait to get into the studio and see what he could do."

A mí por lo menos la canción me recuerda muchísimo al sonido logrado en el United Abominations.

Quizás lo que más hecho de menos es la voz de yonkarra del primer Mustaine xD

La canción en sí tiene buena pinta, me da un cierto aire a Sleepwalker...

El caso es que...soy un fanático de Megadeth y me encanta la canción, no puedo decir nada malo T__T

La verdad es que me ha gustado un montón, se echan de menos un poquillo las progresiones cromáticas acabando en segundas tan "Mustaineras" jeje, pero mola, y mucho.

Lo siento, no puedo con ellos. Crecí con esos primeros discos, porque ya soy mayorcito, pero no hay manera... No tengo nada contra ellos, simplemente hay millones de grupos y prefiero antes a muchísimos de ellos que a Megadeth.

Igualito que con Voivod, a unos les parece grupo de culto y a otros algo tan apetecible como un enema de hierro fundido xD

Seré un vendido pero mi trabajo favorito de Megadeth es Cryptic Writings, ese sonido oscuro, esa producción me encanta, quizás porque fue el primer disco que compré de Megadeth cuando era un mozalbete, no tenía internet, y habia que comprar los discos al azar esperando a ver que encontrabas...

A mí me encanta el "Cryptic Writings", me gusta más que el "Youthanasia", fíjate. Aunque del "Risk" mejor no hablar...

Vale, cuestión de gustos y tal, está claro, pero... ¿SOSOS? ¿Habéis oído los cuatrro primeros? ¿"El Rust in peace" os parece soso? Joder, y si os gusta la oscuridad, el "Killing..." y el "So far..." son más negros que el culo de Obama...

Yooo....sinceramente me pasaba lo mismo con Megadeth, al principio no me entraban ni a la de tres...pero fue simplemente tomarse un tiempo de escuchas, engancharte a algunas canciones y ya te pide más y más y más

Por cierto, tiene muy buena pinta el nuevo disco. He escuchado el single "Head Crusher" y suena de puta madre.
