The Clash: directo, DVD y biografia nuevos en Octubre

A lo largo del próximo mes de octubre verán la luz tres nuevos lanzamientos (un CD en directo. un DVD recopilando material inédito, y una nueva biografía) relacionados con la historia de los legendarios The Clash.

?Live at Shea Stadium? se llamará el CD que contendrá la grabación íntegra, hasta ahora sólo disponible como bootleg, del concierto que The Clash ofrecieron el 13 de octubre de 1982 en el Shea Stadium de Nueva York presentando ?Combat Rock? como teloneros de la gira de despedida de The Who.

?The Clash Live: Revolution Rock?, DVD disponible en U.S. desde marzo de este año a través de Legacy Recordings, verá la luz en Europa el 8 de octubre a través de Sony BMG. El DVD, coordinado por el cineasta Don Letts (amigo íntimo de la banda y director del documental ?Westway to the World?, merecedor de un Grammy), recopila materiales audiovisuales inéditos de la banda, desde actuaciones en directo (incluidas imágenes de su show en el Shea Stadium) hasta ensayos en el estudio, entrevistas o apariciones televisivas.

Por último, Atlantic Books publicará el 3 de octubre en U.K. una nueva biografía titulada ?The Clash by The Clash?, confeccionada por Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon y Topper Headon a partir de sus memorias y de sus propios archivos.
